ANIMATION EXAMPLES

Close-Up Research is an ethnographic research and video agency. We uncover stories of lived experience, and make sense of what people think, feel and do. Our insights and films help clients design, evaluate and communicate better policies, products and services.

Taking both person-centred and place-based approaches, we spend time with people where they are. Alongside ethnographic research, we also offer diary studies, vox popspodcasts, photography, co-design workshops and training.

Below is a mix of animation examples we’ve also produced, involving: traditional cartoon-style animation; stop-motion involving physical objects, drawings animated over live action footage, live hand-drawn illustration with paper cut-outs, and kinetic typography.
